Dealers are hopeful for another strong year

As the economy continues to improve, many individuals are spending more than they have been for the past few years.

The Detroit News reports that the National Automobile Dealers Association had their annual convention over the weekend, and many dealers are feeling positive about their sales for this year.

After rising 10 percent last year, the news provider reports that automotive sales are expected to increase by another 10 percent in 2012, giving dealers hope that their businesses may start to thrive.

"We're very upbeat. We think this year is going to be a nice bounce-back," James Myers, president and chief operating officer for Crown Automotive Group, told the news provider. "It's been a tough couple years, but everyone's just glad it's over."

It's not hard to see why dealers are having a positive attitude. According to Bloomberg, auto sales in January were the highest they've been since the 2009 Cash for Clunkers program.

With many Americans looking to purchase a vehicle, they may want to consider getting a car warranty to help them cover any needed repairs, ensuring the car will last longer.
