Edmunds.com presents its top five leisure cars for CEOs

Being the CEO of a company comes with plenty of responsibilities, the least of which is upholding the appearance of a powerful figure, even on the weekends. This is why Edmunds.com and Chief Executive Magazine got together to develop the list of the "Top Wheels for CEOs."

The five cars perfectly suited for executive downtime – whether taking a trip to a summer home or just heading to the golf course – are the Jaguar XJ L Supersport, the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, the Audi R8, the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Mercedes CL63 AMG.

"When you're finally able to take a break, you want a car that's rewarding and enjoyable to drive without the curse of exotic maintenance requirements," said Michael Jordan, the executive editor of Edmunds.com. "These cars break from the excess of Bugattis and Bentleys, and instead focus on the practical excellence of vehicles like Cadillacs and Audis."

Drivers who may not be in charge of their own companies but still want to drive in style on their days off can use car warranties to get regular maintenance. Nothing is classier than a well-cared for vehicle, as even the fanciest automobile will lose face if its brakes are squeaking or smoke is pouring from under the hood.
