Three cars from Bret Michaels' personal collection to be auctioned off

Glam rocker Bret Michaels, the man behind the iconic song "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," loves cars as much as he loves rocking out, but he will be parting ways with three of the vehicles from his personal collection in a few weeks. Michaels' 2004 Bently Continental GT, 2004 Lincoln Navigator and 2011 Ford Explorer will all be up for auction at the annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction in Arizona this month.

"Bret Michaels is known to fans around the world as a rock star and a television celebrity," said Steve Davis, the president of Barrett-Jackson. "But what we've come to appreciate even more as we get to know Bret is the personal side of this rock and roll icon. He is a devoted father, active philanthropist and a passionate automotive enthusiast."

Micahels will also be performing at the Opening Gala to bid farewell to his cars. Last year, he auctioned off a 1969 Camaro, which sold for a cool $220,000.

Drivers who would like to make money when they sell or trade in their current vehicles should consider investing in an auto warranty contract. This will cover the cost of certain repairs and maintenance, which is good since cars that run well typically sell better than those needing work.
